Join us for a Church Work Day in Palm Valley. Many of the residents in Palm Valley are physically unable to do repairs and landscaping for their yards. Most are on fixed incomes and cannot hire outside help. That's where we come in! We will be doing landscaping, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing. Everyone should bring gloves and the following if you can: landscaping tools (rakes, weed eaters, edgers), pressure washers, hoses, ladders (8-feet or higher), and black contractor trash bags. Volunteers should meet at the Clubhouse at 8:45 AM.

We will be serving dinner at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission on April 15, in a family setting from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. Volunteers will need to arrive at the church no later than 3:30 PM, unless you are meeting us at OURM. Please contact Melody Boyington using the form below, if you are interested in helping out.

Looking for a sitter to watch your children on a Friday Night? Allow our Youth and Children’s Ministry team to hang out with your children for the evening. For only $30 per family, you get 3 hours of child care!

Once again, our church is helping to provide the Orlando Union Rescue Mission with 1,000 pair of new athletic shoes for men, women and children (all sizes). Please bring in a new pair of sneakers (you can include socks, too) to the church by March 28.

On Good Friday (March 29), we will help with OURM's Banquet and Foot Washing event. Volunteers please arrive at First Methodist Church at 8:15 AM to ensure we arrive at OURM on time!

First Methodist Oviedo and other churches in the area will be hosting a Seder Meal on Thursday, March 28 from 6 to 8pm. Hagerty Culinary will be catering this event, it will be a family styled dinner. Join us and experience an authentic Jewish Passover Seder.

The cost will be $10 per person (11 and older), and $5 per person (4 to 10 yrs old).

Registration will be open until Monday, March 25.

• Our Chancel Choir will perform at the 11 AM service.

• Children are invited to wave palm branches during the Palm Sunday Processional at the 9:30 AM service.

  • To participate, please meet in the Narthex (Main Lobby) before service. Those in the Children’s Choir will remain at the Altar to sing before returning to Sunday School.

The children’s choir will be singing at the 9:30 Contemporary Service. Children will process in with palms, then sing.

Children will have the chance to practice song with Ms. Kalee & Ms. Anne during Wednesday Night Programming and both Sunday School Hours.

Our youth group is having a special worship night for students in the Oviedo area on Sunday, March 17th at 6 PM. We would love if you and your churches youth group would join us for this amazing event. This event will occur every other month starting in March! There will be a raffle for students who bring friends to win a grand prize! (giftcards, headphones, theme park ticket, etc) Themes to dress up! Large group activities! Special food served! AND Worship led by our student praise band!

2nd Annual Community Unity Worship Service on Sunday, February 25th at 3:00 pm at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church.  Join community pastors (including our own Pastor Brian) and area churches in worshipping God together.

Ash Wednesday Service will be February 14th at 6:30 PM in the Main Sanctuary.  The Children will have their normal programming, with ashes that have been blessed and a focus on Ash Wednesday.  There will not be Youth Bible Study.

The Methodist Women in Mission are having our Women's Night of Fellowship Tuesday February 13th in Fellowship Hall. We invite all women to join us. Event starts at 6:30pm with light desserts and refreshment, then the program begins at 7pm.

Come join us in the Fellowship Hall for a pre-game Super Bowl Tailgate party.  Hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and snacks will be provided. There will be tailgate type activities for everyone to play.
