S.A.F.E-Fight Against Human Trafficking

  • An Estimated 25 million people globally are human trafficking victims.
  • Victims can be of any age, race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, nationality, immigration status, cultural background, socio-economic class and education attainment level.
  • According to a study of U.S. Department of Justice human trafficking task force cases, 83 percent of sex trafficking victims identified in the United States were U.S. citizens.
  • Florida is 3rd in the volume of calls to the national hotline each year from 2015 – 2019.

First Church Oviedo Missions and Outreach is proud to continue the fight to end human trafficking. This is a passionate ministry to restore the basic human rights of freedom and dignity to those who have been enslaved and abused.
We have partnered with S.A.F.E. Central Florida and their Front Line Organizations (Samaritan Village & Harbour Hope) to provide information sessions, training, volunteer opportunities, and financial generosity in the fight against human trafficking.
