Church Family Gathering

Sunday, October 9 at 5:30 PM

Please join us on Sunday, October 9 at 5:30 PM for a First Church Family Gathering. The theme for our evening together will be: “The Transforming Power of Biblical Community”. We will have a catered meal (no charge) but will need RSVPs for an accurate head count. Call the church office (407-365-3255) or fill out the information below.

Many in our church family just finished a book and video series around this topic using the book “One Another” (The New Testament Prescription for Transformation). Our guest for the evening will be the author of that study, the Rev. Dr. David A. deSilva, PhD.

Dr. deSilva is a Trustees’ Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Greek at Ashland Theological Seminary. He is also an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. He is the author of over twenty-five books!

Dr. deSilva also has a gift for music, having been an organist and choir director in the church setting since his undergraduate years. He’s even had some anthems and organ arrangements published.

We also have fun activities planned for our children and youth called “ Teams Scavenger Hunt!” We are looking forward to October 9th. Everyone is welcome and invited!
